Tag A Towel – $6.00/pack

Keep Your Cooties To Yourself!

How many times have you stepped out of the shower to find that your towel is wet, and wondering who may have used it.  Your husband, your child?

Well Tag A Towel will help you take care of the “sharing” of the towels, the sharing of the cooties, and help conserve water and energy all in one.

Tag a Towels are the super hero of your bathroom! Fighting towel stealing, cootie sharing, and laundry overload everywhere.

They come in 3 different packs of designs.  (Tiny Bubbles – Pink & Blue, Tiny Bubbles – Orange & Green, His and Hers)

They will make great stocking stuffers!

Tag A Towel was created by busy Mom Sarah.  Besides wanting to keep her bathroom organized, save on doing laundry she more wanted to stop the spread of germs.

See her daughter was diagnosed with M.R.S.A. she was terrified and heart broken that her baby had to go through surgery.  Through all her research on MRSA she found that sharing towels is one of the top ways the disease is shared. And here’s the thing. You may not have a sore or be on antibiotics or even know that you have MRSA on your skin, but tons and tons of people are “colonized with staph.” They live with it and have no symptoms.

The CHAT Bag – $35.00

What is the Chat Bag?

The CHAT bag was inspired by Lori’s beautiful daughter Hannah who has Down Syndrome, Autism, and Apraxia. She currently uses an iPad to communicate with. Lori wanted to create a versatile bag that had adjustable straps, soft fabric with colorful designs, and have the screen exposed at all times for easy access. Now she can carry her bag anywhere and CHAT (Children Have A Tool) with us.

I was so excited to receive this bag as my son loves using his ipad.  Although my son doesn’t use it for communication I love that he has the ability to have it protected and has the ability to carry it with him.  This will help promote responsibility for his stuff.

Assisted technology like ipads and smartphones are becoming more widely used in schools and during therapy sessions.

Here is a link to my son using the ipad during his speech therapy in school. http://youtu.be/8EqzDotOjfk

The CHAT bag fits Apple Ipads 1, 2 and 3.

You may even special order if you don’t see a fabric that you like or if you have a different tablet size.

If you are looking to buy this for a loved one, but don’t know what fabric they would like Lori has gift certificates available.  Click here!

FunBites – Bite sized mealtime magic! – $22.00 (for set of 2)

Are your kids more interested in playing with their food than eating it? Make mealtime more fun and help those finicky eaters enjoy every little bite!

I couldn’t wait to try this product.  My son is a very picky eater, and with his special needs mealtime can be stressful at times.  Because of his low tone and sensory issues, he doesn’t like different textures of food, therefore he doesn’t like to try new things and doesn’t understand “bite sized” portions which then causes him to gag.

I thought this was the perfect thing!

BITE-SIZED FUN SHAPES. Try with even the pickiest eaters!

Each FunBites pack includes a high performance curve blade cutter that quickly creates small bites and a matching popper top that pops out food instantly, so hands are clean, food is untouched.  FunBites is 100% made in the USA, BPA FREE, Mom  invented, hand wash or dishwasher safe.

I like the ability to make fun, bite-sized pieces of kid-friendly food from lunch meat and cheese to hamburgers, pancakes and fish.

Can you imagine how excited your children will be when they open their lunch box to find this:

And you will feel good that you know your children are not only enjoying their meal, but that your kids are eating healthier!

They have been featured in PARENTS MAGAZINE, NICKELODEON PARENTS CONNECT, REAL SIMPLE MAGAZINE, GREEN CHILD, BIG APPLE PARENT, WOMEN’S DAY, PARENTING.COM, CBS MORNING NEWS, DESTINATION TRAVEL, SHOP4KIDS AUSTRALIA, LITTLE NEW ZEALAND and VEGETARIAN LIVING UK and more..

Book – “The Pajama Elves” by Hayden Edwards – $9.99

The Pajama Elves is a charming tale about elves at the North Pole who sew pajamas for good girls and boys. On Christmas Eve, the pajamas stitched with the special elf magic are delivered with the guarantee that children will sleep soundly through the night (and Santa can visit without them seeing).

The story is the foundation for a wonderful family tradition that can be shared with relatives near and far of all ages. Also, it is a great way to get your elves into coordinating pajamas for lovely family photos on Christmas morning!

I was so happy to be able to review this book.  This book is a must to have for your children.  Great stocking stuffer or just a special gift to give the whole family. I love Christmas traditions and one that was we always had when we were growing up was to have new Christmas pajamas.  My mom made sure that all six of us had brand new holiday pj’s to celebrate Christmas with.  And because my younger sister and I were so close in age we usually had matching ones.  I read the book and it was fantastic.  The story has simple rhyming prose which outlines a unique family tradition that families all over can participate in.  It’s a great tradition for Christmas morning photos with the family.

I started this tradition in my family and am currently looking to get new holiday pajamas for my kids.  What is your favorite holiday tradition?  Make”The Pajama Elves” part of it.

Winner of the B.R.A.G. Award  This tells readers that this book is well worth their time and money!

I was so excited to receive the GloLite PartyLite Candle Jar from Shannon from PartyLite.  I think we all love candles.  How beautiful they can look and I love the beautiful scents that are available to us.

But I was really excited when I opened the box and found the Strawberry Rhubarb candle inside.  First the smell was amazing, but it was what I read in the catalog that really made it even more special.

A portion of every Strawberry Rhubarb GloLite by PartyLite Jar Candle purchase is donated to the American Cancer Society.  In the last 14 years, PartyLite Consultants, customers and employees have contributed nearly $13 million to the Society’s fight against cancer.

As a person whose mother was diagnosed with breast cancer years ago, I love the work this society has made on the fight against cancer.  They are also involved with Relay for Life and children’s cancer.  Pediatric cancer is another cause that is close to my heart.  So as you can see I am very excited to spread the word.

I also thought the description that Shannon gave when describing the product was also very nice and wanted to share it:

Special Moms share their glow every day with their special kids and their whole families. For those stolen moments, when Mom’s take some time to refresh their glow.
55-65 hour burn time

Candles are always a great gift for a loved one, your child’s therapists, school aides or teachers.

Give a gift that keeps giving!  Check out Shannon’s site for some really great holiday gift giving ideas here!  Please make sure to reference the SpecialMoms Special Needs Holiday Gift Guide.

Little Green Pouch– $14.99 (4 pack)

Is a reusable, dishwasher and freezer safe food pouch developed by two Northern California based moms who loved the benefits of disposable food pouches, but found challenges with their expense, trash and limited food choices.

Little Green Pouch is a reusable food pouch that gives parents the ability to offer their children homemade food from a pouch.

Little Green Pouch is fillable, reusable and squishable and is made for babies, big kids and grown ups.

Fillable
Our reusable food pouch has a zipper seal at the top that can be opened for filling with your favorite pureed or semi-solid foods, and then securely closed. For your homemade baby food (or store-bought applesauce), a spoon works well. For mom’s smoothies, a measuring cup with a pour spout does an A+ job.

Reusable
Our food pouches are made of durable, BPA-free and phthalate-free plastic. They are built to withstand those beatings that only young children can give and (after cleaning) take some more.

Dishwasher-able
Our reusable food pouches are dishwasher safe – just prop them upside down over the tongs on the top shelf. For best use, we recommend rinsing all the homemade spinach surprise out of the pouch and spout before running the cycle.

Freezer-able
If you like to cook homemade baby food in big batches, why not fill up a bunch of our reusable pouches and pop them in the freezer for later use? You can defrost them in warm water when you are ready to enjoy. Or, pack them as freezer packs in your lunch in the morning – they’ll be ready for squeezing by the afternoon.

Squishable
The size and suppleness of our reusable baby food pouch makes it great for use by those darling little hands.
